The room is located on the 1st floor of the B&B Farmhouse, with its own nostalgic atmosphere. Private bathroom (shower, sink and toilet) is on the ground floor of the farmhouse. In front of the window in the room is a small table with bar stools; here you have a nice view over the meadow with the ponies. The woodshed has been converted into a primitive breakfast room with wood stove. The delicious organic breakfast (if booked) is made as much as possible of homegrown and local products. There are also 2 mobile homes, There is a garden with seating, barbecue and own fire basket. Wood gathering in the nearby forest or buy from the landlord. Nearby bus stop (100 meters), Groningen airport (40 kilometers) and Groningen city (45 kilometers). Sights nearby: Gasterij Natuurlijk Smeerling (500 m.) for a delicious lunch, the Burcht Wedde (a castle with impressive history) and the fortified town of Bourtange.
Nature and surroundings
Nature house is located on the edge of the beautiful nature reserve of Westerwolde, also called the Drenthe of Groningen. It is an earthquake-free area. The landscape in which the streams Ruiten Ae and Mussel Ae flow together in the Westerwoldse Ae offers a great variety of flora and fauna. From the garden you have a view over the meadows, where the landlord's flock grazes, to the nearby nature reserve. Here you can regularly see deer and pheasants and spot many bird species, such as the green and spotted woodpecker, the collared redstart, the black redstart, the goldfinch and the blackbird. You can follow several hiking, biking, mountain biking and canoeing routes from the location. Here you can take walks that will make you quiet. The Westerwoldepad runs along the B&B. the high season you hardly meet any people. Renting bicycles, mountaibikes or canoes through the landlord possible. You can also bring your own horse, pasture and stable can be rented for a fee.
