The Rusenski Lom nature park (Ruse / Razgrad region), is located barely five kilometers from the guesthouse and is an absolute must-see! The combination of rocks, forests, rivers, caves, meadows and the vastness of the area - 3,408 hectares! - are at the root of its enormous biological diversity. The flora of Rusenski Lom Park includes 902 species. The fauna consists of 10 amphibians (five of them protected), 19 reptiles, 22 species of fish, lobsters, snails, river mussels, and 66 mammals. Birds are one of the park's main inhabitants: 190 species, 110 of which nest! Park conditions are particularly favorable for rock-breeding birds, such as the Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), Egyptian Vulture (Neophron percnopterus), Eagle Buzzard (Buteo rufinus), et cetera.
