Nature house in agonges

The second gîte on their property is a tower they built themselves, in a style appropriate to the landscape. It was finished in 2009. In the tower you can stay with two or three people. On the ground floor is the kitchen, a toilet and a washing machine. The floor is volcanic rock and feels great on the feet. On the second floor is the lounge with an extra bed. The large windows let you enjoy a beautiful view of the Bocage Bourbonnais. You imagine yourself alone in the world, looking out over a medieval landscape. Another floor up is the bedroom with toilet and shower. From your bed you can admire the stars and then close the velux and enjoy a good night's sleep. The garden is large and well fenced so that your dog, if necessary, can roam freely. There is a terrace with deck chairs, a stone table and a barbecue. The rent includes linen and cleaning.There is possibly table d'hôtes on request....

The Allier is characterized by its rolling hedge landscape, space and silence. There is a lot of 12th century architecture to admire, churches, castles et cetera. The village of Agonges is very authentic and has a beautiful square with ancient trees. There is a Mairie, post office and auberge with dépôt de pain.In the immediate vicinity are many hiking trails and a large forest. At 10 kilometers is Bourbon l'Archambault with supermarkets, Saturday market, thermal baths, outdoor swimming pool and ruins of huge castle. Moulins is the capital of the Allier. Here is a railway station with direct service to Paris. In Moulins are several beautiful museums and an old town with stores and central square with restaurants, including a beautiful mirror cafe. The river Allier meanders and regularly changes its bed. You can rent a canoe to enjoy nature. Among others, many birds. The Allier is very suitable for nature lovers.
