Delightful authentic farmhouse from 1923 in this beautiful region not yet discovered by tourists. In this cottage in brocante style, everyone feels at home immediately. The house has been restored preserving the old soul, but with all modern conveniences. In the large beautiful garden with orchard, you have complete privacy and a beautiful wide view over the fields! There is a large bright sunny living room with many windows, an open kitchen with a kitchen island and eight bedrooms. The stables are in original condition and there is a large attic with a ping pong table. Outside is the pool and trampoline. It's also great for kids. There is lots of space, there are games, swings, a pool and a trampoline. It is the ideal place to unwind, to walk, to dine long, to swing in the hammock with a book. Or to socialize by the campfire. In short, an authentic beautiful place where young and old can enjoy the good French life!
Nature and surroundings
The house is part of a small hamlet and the surroundings consist of hills, forest and farmland. The silence and the stars at night are overwhelming. In this region you can spend hours of great walking and cycling through the beautiful rolling hills without encountering a car. You cycle along beautiful meandering rivers and through beautiful valleys. Also, the surrounding forests are perfect for a mountain bike ride. There are three sports bikes and two mountain bikes available. There are also some nice natural swimming spots nearby. The farm is located in the middle of the WWI line and within a few hundred meters you can still find authentic bunkers and trenches. In la Mare aux Boeufs and in the towns beyond you can experience what happened 100 years ago. You can also take a nice day trip to Reims and the Champagne region. Windows open, music on, and the picnic basket in the back! You'll drive over rolling hills, right through endless vineyards!
