Nature house in Biron

In the southernmost tip of the touristically very famous department of the Dordogne, in France better known as Perigord and centrally located between the bastide villages of Monflanquin, Villereal and Monpazier, lies on the Grand Randonnée 36 a hamlet completely surrounded by rolling countryside and forest, called "Ballande". Definitely a place to enjoy nature and to soak up the French atmosphere. From here it lends itself perfectly to making short or long walks, horse or bike rides. You are here 50 kilometers southeast of Bergerac between two major rivers, the Lot and the Dordogne at a stone's throw from Château de Biron.

That the Perigord is a region for food and wine lovers we do not have to tell you. In the immediate vicinity there are a number of restaurants where you can enjoy the rich French cuisine of different areas with their own specialties and typical French hospitality at reasonable prices. With a short walk it is possible to get fresh baguettes at the grocery store in Biron and if you do not feel like cooking for once, have a meal at the auberge. It is also a nice change to taste wine at the vineyard "domaine la tuque", or to go to the local markets and food markets with regional products to enjoy foie gras, roasted duck breast fillet (magret de canard) Bone ham and escargots, among others. There are another four-person and a five-person gîte in the outbuildings of this farmhouse, completely renovated in the style of the region.
