This tower is a unique place nestled in the nature of the Apennines. It is a natural house that has never been altered and has been inhabited since the 15th century. It is located on the site of an ancient Celtic village and at the foot of an ancient necropolis: the area was also inhabited by the Romans and is a place rich in peace and spirituality. Perfect for meditation, walks and a unique experience, a little time travel in a magical and timeless silence where you will forget you are in the 21st century!... An extremely simple but exciting place. The building was an ancient tower in communication with the castle. The privacy is total, although you can reach the main road in less than 200 m. For guests a wood-fired bio-sauna built in the woods of the tower. A perfect place to relax in close contact with the forest and its inhabitants
Nature and surroundings
The tower can only be reached on foot or by off-road vehicle. At check-in, the host will ensure that guests can arrive directly to the site by 4x4. During the day you can take numerous hikes along the ancient Matildic roads, visit castles in the area, and reach the village of Polinago three kilometers away where you can find the main services. At night you can admire a spectacular starry sky thanks to the lack of light pollution .... The tower lacks normal living comforts. A wood stove for heating, a small kitchen for eating. Water is available but outside the building and it is possible to wash using a solar-powered outdoor shower. Also outside, there is a composting toilet for our guests. A solar panel provides battery charging and lighting for the rooms. Beds available are for four people.
