Set in a 1.5-hectare natural area, surrounded by forests, orchards and pastures, with a 360° view of the surrounding mountains, the gîte is housed in a renovated stone farmhouse. The house is located in SOSPEL, a pretty, lively medieval village nestled between sea and mountains. You'll appreciate the authenticity of the site: an old stone farmhouse in the heart of a flat plot of land with fruit trees, chestnut and hazelnut trees, the forest at the edge of the plot, and an authentic bread oven. A comfortable gîte, completely refurbished in 2018, with wooden furniture. Very comfortable even in winter, with underfloor heating. Here we try to apply the principles of permaculture: rainwater harvesting, heat pump, composter... A vegetable garden in summer.
Nature and surroundings
Old stone farmhouse: an authentic place to relax. Property of 1.5 hectares (fruit trees, old oven, petanque court) cultivated in permaculture. We share this unique place with animals: chickadees, squirrels, bats, wild boar, deer and roe deer. You may be lucky enough to have a 360° view of the surrounding mountains. 2 kilometers from the village and all amenities Sospel, a typical medieval village, is 15 kilometers from the coast (40 minutes from Menton, Monaco and the Italian Riviera). The village can be reached in 15 minutes on foot via a pretty footpath. You can reach Sospel by train, via the Nice-Cuneo line.
