Set in one of the ten small villages just over 100 meters from the town of Medicina, this villa offers a holiday of tranquility and the most authentic nature. Composed of two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom, a large kitchen, bathroom, terrace, veranda and a beautiful garden, it can accommodate up to six people. A swimming pool with two hydro-massage stations is displayed in the garden surrounded by a chestnut forest. An excellent solution for those who love nature and outdoor activities but also for those seeking privacy and tranquility. It was the home of the landlords grandparents, she bought it back and restored the pool into a modern relaxation area. Nature and surroundings
Medicina is located 537 meters above sea level, surrounded by a forest of chestnut trees. It dominates the two valleys thanks to its enviable geographical position. Over the centuries it has been the scene of fierce battles between Lucca and Florence, which tried hard to annex it as their possession. It is the town where Francesco Ferrucci stayed the day before the battle of Gavinana (1530). Medicina was annexed to the Municipality of Pescia in 1881 together with 120 hectares of land belonging to the Villa Basilica domain. The parishes, on the other hand, are still under the Diocese of Lucca. To see the ruins of ancient fortresses and walls of an ancient church dedicated to Saints Sisto and Martino. The church preserves only a few remains of the original structure, in fact it was rebuilt in the early 1800s. The baptismal font dating back to the mid-16th century and the two wooden fifteenth-century statues depicting both the Madonna and Child are worthy of interest.
