This naturehouse is an old farmhouse, renovated to modern standards with all necessary facilities and situated in woodland above the village of Ponte a Serraglio reached by its own rustic lane. It is very private - you need not see a soul if you do not want to - but not isolated. There is a good sized infinity pool, with a shallow area for small children and areas for alfresco dining and picnics. There is an outside forno (oven) and gas and charcoal barbeques. There are two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, two bathrooms, an additional WC, two living rooms, a kitchen-dining room and a utility room. Plenty of room for a family or up to 6 adults.

Set in woodland, we are neighbours to a variety of flora and fauna - the latter including deer, porcupines, badgers, foxes, edible dormice, birds and fireflies. Within walking distance is a luxury spa, fed by the warm springs in the hill behind us. In the villages around you will find restaurants, shops, banks etc., and there are irregular trains and buses to Lucca and beyond. The house is well situated for the Lima valley, with small but comprehensive activity facilities, such as kayaking, rafting, river swimming, horse riding ranch and adventure playground. It is also at the beginning of the Garfagnana valley. There you will find caves, lakes, mountains, nature reserves, abandoned castles and many walking, mountain biking and horse riding trails.
