This idyllic nature house stands in the middle of the openness so characteristic of northern Friesland. Surrounded by meadows and farms, yet close to the village of Kollum with all its amenities you will enjoy peace and quiet here in all comfort. Here is our family house since 50 years. This means that the interior is not standard. There is furniture that has a history in our family. Our books, CDs and decorations have also found a place here over the 50 years this place has been in our family ownership. The current house dates from 1992 and is fully equipped. The first floor consists of a living kitchen, -room, bathroom and utility room and garage. In the garage are bicycles (tour and city) with which you can explore the area, Upstairs are the bedrooms and a second bathroom, with bidet, toilet, double sink and walk-in shower (2019). The property is equipped with solar panels. New: WiFi via fiber optic cable.
Nature and surroundings
A large garden belongs to the house. Partly arranged as a sunbathing area with a swing, partly as a vegetable garden and partly as a berry garden. 100 meters away is a farm, but otherwise it is in the middle of the green. The village of Kollum is within walking distance. Here you can buy everything you need for a pleasant stay. In the very nearby National Park Lauwersmeer area you can enjoy hiking, swimming, cycling and bird watching. One Amsterdammer expressed his admiration for this area: "It is unprecedentedly beautiful." The country's northernmost city, Dokkum, is picturesque and within cycling distance (15 km). The bike path along the Dokkumer Ee naturally leads you there. The village of Ee has a picturesque old village square. Near the twin village of Paesens-Moddergat is a long easily walkable dike in the Wadden Sea with beautiful views of Schiermonnikoog. A day trip to Schiermonnikoog or Ameland is very nice.
