The house was built in 1865 and today is remodeled. One side, without a door and a window, adjoins the village road. On the other three sides is surrounded by 2 acres of land mainly covered with olive trees. In this, there are various places where one can sit and enjoy the view of the area, up to the sea.

The house and estate are located within a settlement with less than 10 people in the winter. The houses in the village are sparsely built, in estates. Around the village there are cliffs worth visiting. A short distance from the house there are two recognized mountaineering fields. The marked trails Droutsoulas-Arethousa, Droutsoulas-Akamatra and Droutsoulas-Kerame are very interesting for the hikers.
