This is the same cottage as nature house no 41355, but now including an on-site vacant just remodeled bedroom with 1 bunk bed and 1 separate bed. This is insulated, but has no stove. From this bedroom you can walk straight into nature and go for a paddle in the pond before breakfast. Our nature house is about 60 mtr2 plus a veranda of 12mtr2. Nothing is perfect, but everything is cozy: the living room with an antique wood stove that provides heat, the sleeping area with 2 beds, bathroom with shower, the kitchen full of pots and pans and of course the veranda with lazy chairs and a fireplace where you can also barbecue It is attractive for nature lovers and peace seekers who like to light a fire and accept that the occasional mouse shoots by. Against payment of 10 Euro per wheelbarrow we provide the wood for the wood stove and fireplace.

This is an idyllic spot. The wooden chalet is located in the middle of the forests of the protected nature reserve around Zutendaal, about 12 kilometers northwest of Maastricht. The cities of Brussels, Antwerp, Aachen and Liege can be reached by car within an hour. Here you can hear the silence! Where in the morning you are woken by the birds, in the evening you get a free concert of the crickets and frogs. The pond on our property is full of fish and if you are lucky you will see the beaver or deer coming to drink on the bank. You can paddle or float on an air mattress on the pond and you can enjoy biking and hiking. Or do some reading in the hammock. There is a bookcase full of Dutch literature with books by, among others, our former neighbor Jeroen Brouwers. And who knows, maybe the inspiration to write still hangs among the trees.
