The apartment is located in our converted farmhouse in the mound village of Hamingen which consists of 8 farms. The village exists since 1486. At night it is really dark and quiet here. The nature house has its own entrance, parking and private terrace. In the apartment there is a living room, kitchen, private bathroom with shower and an enclosed bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and has an oven, microwave and a refrigerator with freezer. In the bedroom there is a comfortable double bed (a baby bed can be added) The whole is attractively furnished. In addition, guests can use our garden. In the garden there are several seating areas overlooking the garden and a bird nesting area. In the garden there are fruit trees, raspberries, berries, blackberries and herbs; which can be used. There are also beehives in the garden; honey is regularly available for guests Upon arrival, the bed is made, towels are provided.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in a rural environment there are many opportunities for cycling and hiking. In the immediate vicinity deer, hares, owls, meadow birds and storks can be admired. Hamingen is a hamlet in the special municipality of Staphorst (6km). Staphorst is special because of its colorful farms, costumes and traditions. At 4 km from the apartment is the provincial town of Meppel. In Meppel there are nice stores, restaurants and cozy terraces. The nature reserves of the Weerribben and the Wieden are nearby. Other nature reserves are the Reestdal, Boswachterij Staphorst, Dwingelderveld and the Hunebedden near Havelte. The towns of Vollenhove, Blokzijl, Ossenzijl and Steenwijk are definitely worth a visit. Giethoorn is best viewed from the water. Bicycles can be placed in a lockable shed if desired.
