Nestled in the nature of M. Sasso del Ferro, in a secluded position at 750 m asl, is the Capre e cavoli farm and agritourism that raises goats and produces cheese. In a rural setting and away from the hustle and bustle but only a 20-minute drive from Laveno on Lake Maggiore, you can find peace and contact with animals and traditions. The detached apartment located on the ground floor of our home is an open space of about 40 square meters with large windows and magnificent views of the surrounding mountains, equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher, solid larch floor and wood stove. The farmhouse is reachable only by car , not by public transport, from the traffic light in Cittiglio (VA) taking the SP8 that goes up to Vararo in 7 km (about 15 min). Starting on foot from the accommodation, one can go on beautiful hikes in the surrounding mountains with breathtaking views of Lake Maggiore and the Alpine chain. Numerous parks and nature reserves as well as places of art and history within a 30-km radius.

The family farm is located in the mountain hamlet of Vararo, municipality of Cittiglio (VA), in a place of naturalistic and scenic value, much of the area is in fact part of the Site of Community Importance MONTI DELLA VALCUVIA characterized by habitats of great importance such as beech forests or dry meadows, a rich flora (such as the endemic Primula valcuvianensis) and fauna typical of these environments. The small village of Vararo, which is 1 km from the farm, is a typical mountain village that still preserves rural dwellings with rustic courtyards. From the mountain peaks there are spectacular views of Lake Maggiore and the Alpine chain. Ideal places for hikers and nature enthusiasts. Many animals can be seen around the house: roe deer, mouflon, deer, foxes, badgers, beech martens, squirrels, dormice, and numerous birds such as black woodpeckers, great spotted woodpeckers, green woodpeckers, buzzards, imperial crows, various passerines, and the occasional short-toed eagle and golden eagle.
