This nature house is fully adapted for people in wheelchairs, but it is also a great place to stay if you have good mobility. It is located on the courtyard and used to house the young cows. There is a large bathroom with rain shower, spacious room with comfortable armchairs, a TV and open kitchen. In the bedroom there are two high-low beds and a TV there too. In the living room there is another sofa bed. There is floor heating throughout the apartment and you have a private terrace with garden furniture. With the car you can get to the front door. This apartment can be used as a vacation home but also as a guest room/B&B. Indeed, on request you will enjoy a delicious organic breakfast in the morning. The apartment is part of Ferme de l'Etang, an old cow and pig farm that is being renovated bit by bit. Therefore, do not expect a raked stylized environment but a relaxed farm where you can move freely and enjoy nature in and around the yard.
Nature and surroundings
Within a 30-minute drive you can be in the Ardennes or in the historic cities of Maastricht, Aachen or Liege. Even the Eifel is easily accessible from here. But why go far away? The Voer region is known for its walking and cycling opportunities and its landscape and nature. Not for nothing is it often called Belgium's Tuscany. There is an extensive walking and cycling route network and during a walk or bike ride you should not be surprised if you encounter a fox, badger, roe or wild boar and even an eagle owl is possible. But why leave anyway? As a guest you have access to the large organic vegetable garden (also accessible by wheelchair!), the herb garden and the small fruit garden. Sheep and chickens walk in the orchard and from your vacation home you walk straight into nature. From a garden chair in the shade under the pear tree you can watch the cows on the hills, hear the buzzards and smell the freshly cut grass.
