Nice cottage in a beautiful place with all facilities, including a sauna. Mind you, no wifi and network connection. But that was known. So nice to "unwind" for a while....

Mooi huisje op een mooie plek met alle faciliteiten, waaronder een sauna. Let wel, geen wifi en netwerkverbinding. Maar dat was bekend. Dus fijn om even te "onthaasten"...

We had a wonderful time at Kris and Katleen's cottage. Great cottage in a fantastic location. The cottage had the primary conveniences and all instructions for use were clear, including for the pellet stove and sauna (nice to use the sauna for a while after a day outside). The lack of wifi and network connection (was well known) provided additional peace of mind. The hiking opportunities right from the cottage are tremendous. You walk straight into the endless nature of the Ardennes. From the cottage there are numerous beautiful villages to visit by car (La Roche en Ardenne, Bastogne). And within driving distance of an hour there are numerous beautiful sights (various caves, castles). A lovely cottage in a fantastic place!

Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in het huisje van Kris en Katleen. Prima huisje op een fantastische plek. Het huisje was van de primaire gemakken voorzien en alle instructies voor gebruik waren duidelijk, waaronder voor de pelletkachel en de sauna (fijn om even de sauna te gebruiken na een dagje buiten te zijn geweest). Het gebrek aan wifi en netwerkverbinding (was bekend) zorgde voor extra rust. De wandelmogelijkheden direct vanuit het huisje zijn enorm. Je loopt zo de eindeloze natuur van de Ardennen in. Vanuit het huisje zijn er per auto talloze mooie dorpjes te bezoeken (La Roche en Ardenne, Bastenaken). En binnen rijafstand van een uur zijn er tal van mooie bezienswaardigheden te vinden (diverse grotten, kastelen). Een heerlijk vakantiehuisje op een fantastische plek!

Facilities were good! Sauna nice plus point Furniture tad old ballsy, but nothing broken Sleeping places I think for three people. On the large room, space could be better utilized. There is now a large "clunky" closet. Fine location and good accessibility Good to rest without range. Well fine TV with music and enough good channels Clear instructions in advance, lots of rules, but I guess that will be necessary.

Meubilair tikkeltje oud bollig, maar niets kapot
Slaapplekken mijns inziens voor drie personen. Op de grote kamer, kan de ruimte beter benut worden. Er staat nu een grote 'lompe' kast.
Fijne ligging en goede bereikbaarheid
Goed tot rust komen zonder bereik. Wel prima tv met muziek en voldoende goede zenders
Heldere instructies vooraf, wel veel regels, maar dat zal wel nodig zijn.

The cottage was in a beautiful and quiet place with a view of the river. The location was thus top. The advantage was that you had no mobile phone coverage and thus nice and quiet. The facilities in the house were of good. The new-looking sauna was a nice bonus. The cottage is a bit higher so you have a large balcony that goes 3/4 around the cottage. So we get out of the wind and into the sun. Upon entering, it smells a bit musty, but there is a good stove that quickly provides a warm house. Five sleeping places sounds promising. There is one room a spacious double bed. The second room is very small and has a makeshift bed placed and limited space for putting things away. The fifth sleeping place is on the couch (which is also listed), but has not been used. Furthermore, there is plenty to do in the area. All in all a good cottage for weekend getaway or short vacation

Het huisje lag op een mooie en rustige plek met uitzucht op de rivier. De ligging was daarmee top. Voordeel was dat je geen mobiel bereik had en daarmee lekker rustig. De faciliteiten in het huis waren van goed. De nieuw ogende sauna was een mooie bonus. Het huisje ligt wat hoger dus je hebt een groot balkon die voor 3/4 om het huisje heenloopt. We komen dus uit de wind en in de zon zitten. Bij binnenkomst ruikt het wat muf, maar er staat een goede kachel die snel zorgt voor een warm huis. Vijf slaapplekken klinkt veel belovend. Er is één kamer een ruim tweepersoonsbed. De tweede kamer is erg klein en is een geïmproviseerd bed geplaatst en beperkte ruimte voor wegleggen van spullen. De vijfde slaapplek is op de bank (wat ook vermeld staat), maar is niet gebruikt. Verder is er genoeg te doen in de omgeving. Al met al een goed huisje voor weekend weg of korte vakantie

The omnipresent sewage smell and no working sauna unfortunately makes that we cannot score higher. the environment makes up for the stay in the end. the cleaning costs are high in relation to the quality / price ratio

De aldoor aanwezige rioollucht en geen werkende sauna maakt dat we helaas niet hoger kunnen scoren.
de omgeving maakt het verblijf uiteindelijk toch wel goed.
de schoonmaak kosten zijn hoog in verband met de kwaliteit /prijsverhouding

The cottage was not what we expected, the pictures showed a different picture. There is a road behind it and there are several cottages on the road. We were also quite disappointed with the cottage itself. the pictures are a bit more positive than reality. It was not fresh, very nasty sewage smell overwhelmed us upon entering. In itself, the cottage was clean. The sauna after much hassle really not to get working. and the cleaning costs are quite high, for that you may expect more cleanliness. The cottage does have everything you need to stay, however, our expectation from the pictures was more and greater.
The smell in the cottage was a little thing for us that we had trouble not to be annoyed by. fortunately, the weather cooperated and we were able to be outside a lot and hiking in the area. which ultimately made the stay for us positive. however, we will not go to this place again. And certainly look for another place to stay. Landlord Response: Too bad you did not contact us during your stay so we could have helped you with the inconveniences. The sauna works perfectly if you start it up as described in the information folder. The pictures show the cottage how it really is. The unpaved private cul-de-sac runs in front of the house and is only for local residents and at busy times 4 cars a day pass by.

Het huisje was niet wat wij er van verwachten, de foto's lieten een ander beeld zien. Er loopt een weg achterlangs en er zijn meerdere huisjes aan de weg. Ook het huisje zelf viel ons best tegen. de foto's zijn wat positiever dan de werkelijkheid. Het was niet fris, erg nare rioollucht overviel ons bij het binnenkomen. Op zich was het huisje wel schoon. De sauna na veel gedoe echt niet werkend te krijgen.
en de schoonmaak kosten zijn best hoog, daar mag je meer properheid voor verwachtend.
Het huisje heeft wel alles wat je nodig hebt om te verblijven, echter was onze verwachting naar aanleiding van de foto's meer en groter.
De geur in het huisje was voor ons wel een dingetje waar we moeite mee hadden om geen ergernis van te hebben.
gelukkig werkte het weer mee en konden we veel buiten zijn en wandelen in de omgeving. wat het verblijf voor ons uiteindelijk wel positief liet zijn. echter zullen we naar deze plek niet weer heen gaan. En zeker een ander onderkomen zoeken.

De sauna werkt perfect indien je hem opstart zoals beschreven in de informatiemap.
De foto's tonen het huisje hoe het in werkelijkheid is.
De onverharde doodlopende privéweg loopt voor het huis en is enkel voor plaatselijke bewoners en er komen op drukke momenten 4 auto's per dag voorbij.
