This sleeping cabin is located on our cozy nature campsite overlooking the fields. It is simply furnished with a table and chairs, a kettle, basic kitchen utensils and outdoor furniture. So you can enjoy the atmosphere of the campground without having to bring a lot of stuff. There are comforters and pillows, you bring your own bedding/sleeping bag or order it from us. Dogs are welcome, if leashed. You use the sanitary facilities in the farmhouse and you have access to a fully equipped camping kitchen. You may also sit in our greenhouse. The sleeping cottage is located on a nature camping site for 4 tents. There are 6 sleeping cabins available. Please note that it can be cold in spring (April) or fall (late September/October). The cabins are not insulated and have no heating. We do have a small heater and electric blankets upon request.
Nature and surroundings
The surroundings are special and surprising. Stream valleys, slightly undulating, winding rivers, forest, many nature reserves and lots of walking, cycling and canoeing opportunities (even with the dog!). They also call this area the Drenthe of Groningen or the pearl of Westerwolde. Also a large mountain bike network and many attractions. In the vicinity is also a tropical swimming pool, a possibility for water skiing and wakeboarding, various museums, monasteries and a castle in Wedde, the fortified town of Bourtange, seal spotting in Fiemel, watch how a cruise ship is built in Papenburg, Germany, shopping in Leer or the city of Groningen, day German Wadden Island Borkum, a fairytale forest in Ter Apel or a dinosaur park in Wedde, the zoo in Emmen ... all within about half an hour.
