From a floating house you can - depending on the weather conditions - through the large folding doors enjoy a panoramic view over the water, including the characteristic white tower and the Kaagsociëteit/Restaurant Waterlust right on the other side. Realize that the houseboat can only be reached by water! Transport to and from this houseboat is by ferry from the parking lot at the very end of a dead end road, Zijldijk 11 (municipality of Warmond!); costs €4,50 per crossing. Cost of parking is €4,50 per day per car. NOTE: in case of weekend rentals, the check-out time on Sunday is before 17:00h and check-IN time from 19:00h; in all other cases it is before 12:00h and from 16:00h respectively. This nature house is located on an island, the Zwanburgerpolder - explore via a gangway - where you can find all the Dutch meadow birds, including the Black-tailed Godwit. You will also find the organic cheese farm "De Eenzaamheid" there, where you can buy delicious cheese. By water you can explore the Kagerplassen by canoe, kayak and possibly motorboat. The kayak and canoe can be used at your own risk, but the motorboat can only be used/rented provided you have ample experience on inland waterways. For the use of the motorboat (steel punt with 8 hp outboard motor) we charge a fee of €35 per day, which will be deducted from the deposit afterwards. When using the motorboat, a trial run is required upon arrival, including mooring and unmooring. The petrol tank is full on arrival and must be left full on departure (petrol pump available in the parking lot).
