Nature house in Winsum

Welcome! Our nature house, was built in 1913 of recycled Frisian tiles (stones) from the previous farm that stood here. It served as a pig and horse barn for about 80 years. When we bought the farm in 1996, the old stable was about to collapse. Cees did see a project in it. Only 10 years later the restoration was started. This was mainly because we had taken in a refugee. His name is Abraham and he lived in a tiny caravan behind our farm. Abraham began repairing the roof. The rest of the cottage was built with the help of friends and materials left over from the farmhouse remodel. It is furnished with gotten and 2 the life stuff. Outside are a Barrel sauna, Jacuzzi, cold water plunge pool and outdoor shower. The bed is made and there are bath and kitchen linens and 2 bathrobes. You have plenty of space and privacy. Recharging spot par excellence! And created with love.

Our nature house is located near Winsum (municipality the Waadhoeke)in Friesland. This part of Friesland is called the Greidhoeke with endless views of green fields and ever-changing skies. Of long dikes, proud people, slightly stubborn but straightforward. With our heads in the clouds but our feet in the clay. In Friesland it is very central because you are within 20 minutes by car in Sneek, Bolsward, Leeuwarden, Harlingen or Franeker. There are cycling-walking and sailing routes.
