The living room is bright and has French doors to the terrace and garden. The Nature House has a large dining table for cozy long dinners and there is a cozy sitting area for a good book. We have no TV but we do have wifi of course. In the original 50s kitchen it is no punishment to wash dishes: you have a beautiful view over the meadow and the Slotermeer. There is a modern induction stove with two ovens and a refrigerator, there is a spacious basement where you can store a lot of supplies. There are four bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor, the bathroom is upstairs. The house is suitable for families or families, up to 8 adults and 2 children. Bed linen package is optional when booking. Please bring your own kitchen linen & bath towels. Weekend = check out before 17:00 on Sunday. Long weekend or a (mid) week = check out on Monday or Friday before 10:00.
Nature and surroundings
Under the smoke of the picturesque Elfsteden town of Sloten stands among the meadows this 1950s house, part of a head-neck-hull farmhouse. The farm is no longer active and this beautiful place now has a recreational purpose. The house is finished, now we are working on the rest of the farm. In mid-March 2025, we will start renting out the 2 other accommodations in the yard. The open landscape, wide views, silence and Frisian nature ensure that you always have a vacation feeling here. The Nature House is located on a dead end road and has plenty of privacy and space. From the house you just step into a canoe, sailboat or sloop to make a trip on the water. The canoes can be used freely. There is berth at the house and we also rent sailboats. Through the meadow you walk to the shore of the Slotermeer, where you can enjoy nature swimming. The vacation home is in a remote place, after 11 pm it must be quiet outside and quiet inside.
