Adventurous sailing weekend with a visit to beer brewery 'Fortuna' on Vlieland and an overnight stay in the harbor of bustling West-Terschelling with the sturdy two-masted clipper 'Suydersee'. In Friesland's Wadden harbor Harlingen you embark on board the historic sailing ship Suydersee. A wonderful sailing cruise full of action, excitement and enjoyment of the fresh sea air, drying sandbanks and the sight of a group of sunbathing seals awaits you. You will get away from it all. With her space and comfort you will immediately feel at home on the luxurious two-masted clipper Suydersee. From 19:00 hours you will be welcomed on board and meet the crew and your fellow passengers. After a welcome from the skipper, there will be a brief explanation of the ship and the route to be followed. Then it is 'untying' and together we raise the sails. In the last sunlight we set course for Vlieland where we look for an anchorage under the high lighthouse dune.

The next morning, after a full breakfast the anchor is lifted and we look for a place in Vlieland harbor. Brewery Fortuna is nearby and here we are expected at noon for an inspiring tour. This craft beer brewery has its own water and energy source and works as much as possible with island ingredients. There is also an exhibition and tasting room, a film room and a chapel with icon.
