Enjoy the tranquility and nature. This nature house is in one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands, the house is on 2.5 acres of enclosed dune. You reach the house via its own dune crossing, through a private path you walk in 5 minutes to the beach. It is the perfect destination for those who want to get a breath of fresh air by the sea, and the beautiful surroundings invite you for countless cycling and walking routes or a day at the beach. This nature house dates back to 1930 and is typical of the homes of that era. The house was completely renovated in 2009 and equipped with all modern conveniences. The characteristic character has been taken into account. The nature house has 3 bedrooms and is ideally suited for four adults and two children up to the age of 12. Pets, smoking, parties, groups of young people and open fire are not allowed, see detailed explanation in the house rules. I and my family sometimes stay on the property, we stay at an appropriate distance.

The nearby beach is beautiful on both winter and summer days. For nice trips you can go to the places Middelburg, Domburg, Vlissingen and Zierikzee; beautiful places with many recreational and shopping opportunities. The Meeuwenduinen (closed March 15 to July 15) within walking distance, may safely be called one of the most beautiful dune areas of Schouwen-Duiveland. Here you will still find bare dunes, plains with mosses, dune grasslands and of course the rabbits and birds that are numerous. The Zeepeduinen are accessible all year round. During the hiking trails of three to five kilometers, you will pass the herd of Shetland ponies, the dune lakes and the colorful dune plants. On the high dune is a World War II command post: the Whale bunker. In many dozens of smaller bunkers, hundreds of bats hibernate. In the summer months, you can join one of the bunker excursions.
