The Big House is one of 6 fine accommodations at the Hoeve. The original hay barn of the farmstead has been transformed into The Big House; a comfortable accommodation made for creating new memories! Immediately upon entering our grounds you see the combination. Step inside through the Art Deco entrance, enjoy a drink at your own bar or a hot chocolate by the soapstone stove. Prefer curled up on the couch catching up with each other or a game of table tennis on the covered terrace? Cook together in the large kitchen, enjoy balmy summer evenings under the weeping willows on your own terrace and dive into bed in your own room to all start the day fresh and fruity the next morning in your own bathroom. There is also a (catering) kitchen with all the trimmings. Please note, we do not allow bookings from youth groups under 25. No amplified music. Quiet hours are between 23:00 and 08:00. Use of the BBQ is an additional cost.
Nature and surroundings
On the border of Limburg and Brabant, surrounded by meadows and forests, lies Holthees. This village, in the basin of the river Meuse, houses this Hoeve, an estate that in days gone by served as accommodation for the horses of the nearby Castle Makken. Meanwhile, the old horse farm has been transformed into a fine group accommodation where freedom and respect for nature are paramount. Tucked away on a dead-end road, on the edge of the forest, you will find all the space you need to immerse yourself in burgundy life. Celebrate life with friends and family, have a romantic weekend away, discover the area with the family or be alone in peace.
