This nature house is located in the yard of a forest farm, so characteristic of the Frisian Woods. It is a thatched roofed barn and has a covered veranda. The terrace next to the beech forest is nice and cool on hot days. Special is that you stay in the middle of the Blue Forest, via a long sandy path you arrive at the nature house. The house is fully equipped. In nearby Haulerwijk there are stores, a swimming pool and good places to eat. Pets are welcome.
Nature and surroundings
Many people enjoy the beautiful nature in southeastern Friesland. Despite this, it is still quiet in the Blue Forest and you can spot plenty of birds and larger wildlife. Nearby is the Fochteloërveen and the Aekingerzand, but also bustling cities such as Groningen, Assen and Leeuwarden are worth a visit. Also, a day trip to the Wadden Islands is wonderful. From your accommodation you can step into the woods for a walk or take your bike for a nice trip. But you can also relax at the nature house and enjoy the tranquility, Carpe Diem!
