This nature house is located in the Front House of a North Holland long-house farmhouse, situated at the foot of the Dune Reserve and at the edge of the field. The farmhouse was completely renovated in 2012 in 1930s style. The owners live in the bell house and are therefore close by but all privacy is guaranteed. There is generous entrance, for coats and boots. In the spacious and cozy living room with windows on 3 sides, there is a large dining table and a sitting area with TV (and wifi). The eat-in kitchen invites you to cook. Usually the owners bring some goodies from the harvest. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and a luxury bathroom with bathtub and walk-in shower (separate toilet). In the garden there is a picnic table and lazy chairs, in or out of the sun, in or out of the wind. For the kids there is a large lawn. Changeover days are Mon-Fri. A weekend Friday-Sunday is also possible, then Sunday is late check-out. Off season and Ascension can be shifted, but min 3 dgn, send a message via "contact".
Nature and surroundings
This nature house is completely energy neutral, ground source heat pump and solar panels provide our energy. The farmhouse is located on a dead-end street, between farms and nature reserves. The beach is 3km away, cycling or walking through the North Holland dune reserve with its forests and the open hilly dunes. Also great for cycling and walking from Haarlem to Den Helder. In the backyard is the beautiful open field with nature reserves Seerijdtsdijkje and Zuiddijk and also the Tankval, a beautiful bird and fish-rich lake. The bus stops at about 200 m. Train station Castricum is about 3 km away, making Amsterdam, Haarlem and Alkmaar easily accessible by public transport. With own transport you are from the A-9 also quickly in Bakkum/Castricum. The Hortus Bolborum in Limmen, the Cheese Market in Alkmaar, the Egmonden, Amsterdam-Centrum .... it's all a stone's throw away.
