This farmhouse is a beautiful detached house with all the space and privacy you could want. Located in the Veluwe forests on Welna estate, this is a perfect base for endless walks and bike rides. Did you know that early in the morning you can even spot wild animals? Layout accommodation: total of 4 bedrooms, 1 on the ground floor, each with 2 single hotel box springs with top mattress. Small shower room and 1 separate toilet. Living room with fireplace. Separate dining room with smart TV (bring your own laptop/phone to stream on) overlooking the garden. Kitchen equipped with a large stove with large oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, among other things. This accommodation is suitable for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 people. The decrease of overnight stays is based on min. 2 nights per booking. Dogs allowed (extra charge) if leashed. Multiple persons, cleaning costs, tourist tax, towels and linen are not included in the basic price.
Nature and surroundings
Estate "Welna" is part of the largest contiguous nature reserve in the Netherlands, the Veluwe. It is 560 ha in size and consists mainly of forest and heathland. The area around Welna changed from "wild and bye land" to heathland after the Middle Ages due to human activity. Sheep farming allowed the heath culture landscape to maintain itself for a long time. The Polish word for wool is "welna," to which the naming of the estate may be related. In the 1940s, parts of these wastelands came into private ownership. These new owners have since then afforested most of the area through reclamation. In Epe and Nunspeet you can rent bicycles to take wonderful bike rides. The various restaurants nearby offer a range of delivery and takeaway meals.
