Our cozy nature house has a cozy living room. There is a modern 3-seater sofa and 2 easy chairs. The dining table with four chairs can be extended to 6 places. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed (140×200). Upstairs is a bedroom with double bed (140x200) and a TV lounge room. Please note that it is a somewhat steeper staircase. In total there is sleeping accommodation for 4 people. There is central heating throughout. The bathroom has a retro look with a nice shower and toilet. For self-catering there is a 4-burner gas stove, a microwave oven and a spacious refrigerator with freezer. In front of the cottage we have a generous garden with bbq, patio chairs and dining table. You overlook the private canal. In less than 10 steps you have miles of endless rippling water. The cottage is in the lee of the hustle and bustle of the village on a path with Gieterse homes. The car you park at 3 minutes walk, for luggage there is a wheelbarrow to transport your belongings. It is lovely all year round.

Waking up in the morning, cup of coffee in hand, when then the first rays of the sun try to reach the land, cackling geese fly by and clattering storks tending their nest together, the true enjoyment begins. Along the path in the private garden is rustically hidden behind tall greenery this sweet thatched cottage. Located directly on a dead-end canal to open waterways. And the car within 200 meters walking distance. From its own plot you can take a boat out to a beautiful nature reserve with extensive fishing and boating water (directly near `het Wiede´). Besides walking and cycling and the cozy terraces in the beautiful village of Giethoorn it is also nice to visit eg Blokzijl or Vollenhove. Steenwijk is about 5 km away and has a nice shopping street. Meppel has a very nice historic (shopping) center with several squares and terraces, but also Dwarsgracht, Muggenbeet, Sint Jansklooster, Oldemarkt and Zwolle are recommended.
