Picture this: An island on the Vinkeveen lakes. A self-sufficient log cabin of 30 m2 with 4 beds. WC, (hot) shower, electricity, pellet stove, TV, fridge, gas stove and 200m2 of outdoor space all for you. Making a campfire, no problem. Bring your dog, no problem. Forgot your groceries, no problem (you are on an island). Despite all the luxury, you have to be a little adventurous. To make your stay on the island possible, when you book you will get a good boat for free ( askeladden ) equipped with a combustion engine 4hp. You do not need a license for this. The boat is insured. Own risk € 250.If you are not familiar with boat sailing, we need 30 minutes of your time to teach you the basic skills. The finesses you learn as you go along. In Holland we often talk about the weather. On an island you experience the weather more intensely, so be prepared.
Nature and surroundings
The Vinkeveense Plassen are a concept in themselves. In the green heart, Nature Network Netherlands area (NNN), against Botshol (natura 2000). Is in the top of diving locations in the Netherlands, due to the clear water. All this is true and you can fully enjoy it. Living on an island adds another dimension to this. On the island you are in very direct contact with the weather. A fresh dip in one of the cleanest natural waters in the Netherlands makes you forget all your worries.
