Welcome to Tuk aan de Vliet: a 17th-century farmhouse in the green, ten minutes by bike from the historic center of Leiden. This nature house is called the Padstal and is a quirky cottage in our yard. It has its own kitchen, bathroom, toilet and romantic sleeping loft. The living room has a double sofa bed: handy if you don't like going up the steep stairs to the sleeping loft. The house has a nice private garden with a view of the boats in the Vliet. The first two mornings we will bring you breakfast! Welcome to our nature house
Nature and surroundings
Behind us are the meadows of the Green Heart where it is wonderful walking, cycling (Zoeterwoude, Stompwijk, Weipoort) and buying farm cheese. But also along the Vliet, via the Vlietlanden (swimming, boating), the Horsten to for example the Wassenaar beach is a nice bike ride. Keeping cycling straight along the water is also possible, to the little sluice of Leidschendam and through, to Delft. And the historic center of Leiden is near here: with ten minutes you get your groceries at the market on the Rhine, walk past the birthplace of Rembrandt and past Beatrix's student house.
