Our forest cottage is on a small vacation park. A park without bells and whistles (pool ed). We are exactly between Ermelo and Harderwijk, both 3 km. You walk or cycle from the cottage in all directions. Staying at home is not a punishment because there is a large beautifully landscaped garden. The cottage itself is simple but fully equipped. Two good single beds and a small bathroom with shower and toilet.This winter (2024) we had major water damage to the cottage.Therefore, the cottage has a new insulated floor and a new kitchen. Repainted inside and out.We have intentionally NO wifi. We do have a DVD player and nice DVDs, very old fashioned; but maybe a crutch for when you really want some peace and quiet and want to detox from the internet.
Nature and surroundings
As mentioned, the cottage is located on the outside of the park. From our garden you walk straight into the forest. You can walk and cycle in all directions. Especially the Beekhuizerzand is beautiful. From the Oostvaarders Plassen in the north to the Leuvenemse woods and heathland in the south, you can enjoy walking and / or cycling. In the barn are two bicycles.
