The nature house is a fine, ground-level and comfortable bungalow with lots of light, a large garden and a terrace with a wide view where the sun sets late in the Belgian Ardennes. It is located on top of the mountain near St Jacques (400m) with a good chance of snow in January. Our accommodation has 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with bathtub and a spacious kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and oven. It can sleep 6-8 people. A drink or long linger on the terrace; both are possible. The living room has a large dining table, nice hanging couch a TV with Netflix, Wifi, a Playstation with several games and a wood stove with free wood for when it gets a little chilly. The cottage is located on the border of the province of Liège and Luxembourg in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes. You rent the house including bed and bath linen.
Nature and surroundings
The ancient Saint Jacques is located at 500 meters altitude and within walking distance from the cottage, on the old pilgrimage route to Santiago Compostella. The little church with an ancient legend and very old tombstones, stands at the foot of an ancient oak tree (±1000years). Both suffered badly under the fire of the Ardennes offensive in WWII. The oak, badly battered by the violence of war, is still alive. The house is 3 km from Trois Ponts where there are several supermarkets and several bakeries and restaurants and is 5 km from Plopsa Coo and 8 km from Stavelot. The location is in the heart of the Ardennes, right on the cycling route of the Walloon arrow and Liege Bastogne Liege and in the immediate vicinity of Côte de Wanne, Côte de Stockeu and Their de Coo. The area has plenty of hiking trails through farmlands and forests. Want to explore the area in a different way? Then rent a donkey or a horse in Trois Ponts and get to know the nicest trails in the area.
