Our nature house is beautifully and quietly located on the water, at the edge of the village of Goingarijp, with a spacious garden all around and its own jetty. Guests can moor their own sailboat or sloop. Terraces in 3 places, and thus a place with privacy is always possible, especially when the large weeping willow is fully grown again (from mid-2024). A living room and open kitchen in a traditional, cozy style. There are 4 bedrooms, sleeping 7, 3 of which have sloping ceilings, see photos. The bathroom is functional and in original condition. "A fantastic cottage in one of the most beautiful places in Friesland. Large garden and right on water. Four bedrooms. And very hospitable host." This review shows how we too have experienced our place since the 70's and what we do our best for when we rent out. The barn is freely accessible (bikes, garden chairs, garden tools etc.) The pictures give an idea of what to expect and possible in and around the house
Nature and surroundings
The location is in a small recreational area (De Slachte) with several neighboring houses, in the middle of the Frisian lake area (Goingaijpster Poelen/Sneekermeer). Lots of peace and quiet! Renting boats is possible nearby. Only a few weeks in the summer (second half of July - first half of August) there is more water sport activity. Sailing, swimming, walking on the dike, cycling and lots of peace and quiet in and around the house. You can swim directly from the garden or at the nearby beach, especially with smaller children. House and surroundings have their charms for all seasons. The Bell House in the village is open again, for food and drink, with beautiful views of the lock and lake. Boules court in the village. Joure (including for shopping or good food, Ballonfeesten in July), Sneek (beautiful center) and Heerenveen (Museum Belvédère) are all close by.
