This nature house borders directly on the Utrecht Ridge. So rolling out of bed in your pajamas attending the start of the morning concertt of the of birds is a ticket to first grade. The nature house is situated at the back of the garden and is higher than the "main house" with its own sitting pit . The trees around it provide privacy. It has the atmosphere that belongs to a forest cottage . And there is use of many natural elements and materials, such as the balustrade of the mezzanine of birch branches that I have found on Estate Maarn. The kitchenette has two electric plates and a microwave oven. And there is a refrigerator with freezer. There is a bedroom downstairs and for those who are limber and elastic and prefer to count stars or leaves instead of sheep a loft. The nature house is "screenless" but has wifi. Instead of screens we have an old-fashioned games cabinet and many books Dachshund Jans and Fox Levi guard the fort .
Nature and surroundings
Maarn is centrally located and is a green small village with its own train station. The village lies on the Utrecht Ridge. It is a beautiful walking and cycling environment. For birdwatchers the Leersumse veld is also nearby where many special birds can be found. For mountain bikers this area is also very popular and people come from all over the Netherlands to ride here. There are also picturesque villages in the area such as Wijkbijduurstede. All enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature within easy reach.
