As an original farmhouse, the cozy family house is the heart of the Hoeve. The Hoeve was built in 1883 and can accommodate 12 people. Authentic elements such as red brick, stone arches above the windows, wooden floors, the characteristic half-timbering and an original vaulted cellar is combined in the Hoeve with a modern kitchen, luxury box springs and a private bathroom per bedroom, so that atmosphere and comfort go hand in hand to offer an optimal experience. The Living has cozy furnishings with Austrian corner sofas and a fireplace. The living kitchen is equipped with modern SMEG appliances, a lounge sofa/TV corner and bar table. The nature house is ideally suited as a family house for fine meetings of family and friends looking for peace and quiet and recreation in the immediate vicinity and as a base for fun trips. The farmhouse is not suitable for groups of young people. For this reason, we cannot honor bookings from groups of young people.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in the middle of the rural (quiet) area between Mechelen and the mountain village of Vijlen in southern Limburg. The farmhouse is located on a slope and offers a breathtaking view of the hills. In 2 ha of garden with height differences, a pond and an orchard you will always find a place to retreat and enjoy the spectacular sunsets. The nature house borders the Vijlenerbos and is a paradise for nature lovers, hikers and cyclists. Bicycles can be stored indoors. Our neighbor is the famous Vineyard St. Martinus, where a tour or tasting should definitely not be missed. From the farmstead are trips to Vaals (Drielandenpunt), Snowworld Landgraaf, Gaia Zoo in Kerkrade, Gulpen (the brewery), Margraten (WW2 history), Aachen or Maastricht very nice to undertake.
