The secluded old half-timbered house lies on the slope of a castle and has been resting in the fairytale landscape of the Solling for many hundreds of years. This used to be the Amtskrug, where judges from Göttingen also administered justice. Now it is a family idyll offering peace and relaxation. The modern winter garden opens the building in the cool season and the two fireplaces invite you to enjoy good wine and good conversation.
Nature and surroundings
Hiking trails start right outside the door. The Solling, a vast forest area, in the Weserbergland invites to hiking and cycling. A few minutes' walk away is the Hutewald Project, where Heck cattle and Exmoor ponies live together semi-wild in the forest. Above the accommodation is the Nienover Medieval House, which is regularly "revived." This means that for a few days people live there as they did in the Middle Ages - without electricity and running water.
