Camp Site 1 - Talus de ravin: This is a camp site only. With use of toilet / shower / doing the dishes. In the French Alps in a small village of Terre Rouge (6 permanently inhabited houses). This is specifically camping spot 1, on the ravine slope. This is a site a 3-minute walk from the L'Ane house (300 meters). Completely secluded, shielded by a few small trees from the main road. There is only a little noise during the day from the through road across the valley. It is next to the ravine. It is a nice horizontal terrain. Suitable for one, two or three small to moderately large tents. It does take shouldering with the gear, because the distance to road is 150 meters. There is a wheelbarrow to borrow, there is not a very flat path to it, because sometimes the farmer plows too far to the path. There are also some other camping spots available in Terre Rouge. The car or motorcycle must be in the parking lot at the beginning of the village.
Nature and surroundings
Nearby nature reserves, possibility of hiking, rafting, paragliding, hang gliding, mountain biking. In winter, a cross-country skiing area is 3 km away. For shopping, the town of Briançon is about 7 km away, in the village itself there are no stores. Nearby are some restaurants. In Terre Rouge for children there is only play by the river or in the forest, own games, or mountain biking and the like.
