This fantastic little red house has stood on the beach at IJmuiden for years in the summer. Now it gets a second life in the polder. With taste, this nature house has been completely refurbished and furnished with circular materials. In addition to a living room with beautiful views, this cottage has a unique 4-person box bed! A kitchen with gas stove, refrigerator and fine sharp knife set. Furthermore, everything you need to prepare a delicious meal from the fresh organic vegetables that come from the land here. Crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and percolator are all provided. Private shower and toilet in your cottage. On your private terrace you can enjoy a coffee with the rising sun or sit in the evening around your own campfire roasting marshmallows.
Nature and surroundings
Our cottages are in the North Holland polder, where the Oer-IJ used to be. Now a place with meadow views, many birds (kestrels, buzzards, the short-eared owl) and the occasional blue (KLM) bird flying overhead. From the campsite you can make beautiful bike trips over dikes and through small villages. The beach at Wijk aan zee is also within cycling distance. On Estate Rorik you will find besides a mini-camping also an organic farm, organic vineyard, apple and pear orchard. We use as many used materials as possible (circular) to build our cottages. You are welcome to help in the garden or vineyard.The estate is still under construction. A lot has already been done, there is still a lot to do. The good atmosphere is already there, but do not expect raked paths ;-). You are more than welcome to taste this atmosphere and pioneer with us in the polder!
