Perhaps the best description is a cross between a tent and a log cabin. We call it our camping room. This room is fully equipped for a weekend or midweek of luxury camping. A delicious box spring, a small but nice kitchen including a small refrigerator. 2 Lovely armchairs where you can take the day together with a glass of wine in hand. A private terrace with table and benches, a hammock with shade cloth above. You can use the sanitary unit next to it, here is a shower, toilet and sink with hot water of course. Enjoy the views, the various birds (buzzards, kestrels, barn swallows and the short-eared owl) flying past your tent. Don't forget your boots and your binoculars!
Nature and surroundings
Our cottages are in the North Holland polder, where the Oer-IJ used to be. Now a place with meadow views, many birds (kestrels, buzzards, the short-eared owl) and the occasional blue (KLM) bird flying overhead. From the campsite you can make beautiful bike trips over dikes and through small villages. The beach at Wijk aan zee is also within cycling distance. On Estate Rorik you will find besides a mini-camping also an organic farm, organic vineyard, apple and pear orchard. We use as many used materials as possible (circular) to build our cottages. You are welcome to help in the garden or vineyard.The estate is still under construction. A lot has already been done, there is still a lot to do. Do not expect raked paths ;-). The good atmosphere is already there. You are more than welcome to taste this atmosphere and to pioneer with us in the polder!

Nature, peace & environment:Rust en ruimte was er zeker!
Wel vond ik het irritant dat er veel vliegtuigen over vlogen. -
Rianne August 20, 2021 General rating:Prachtige tent waar alles tip top in orde was. Een "keukentje" in de tent waar alles aanwezig is wat je nodig hebt. Een heerlijk bed, en fijne stoelen voor binnen en buiten. Echt een aanrader.
Nature, peace & environment:Prachtige plek, met prachtig uitzicht. Een plek waar je echt tot rust kan komen terwijl achter je er ook mogelijkheden zijn waar je bij elkaar kan komen, het toilet en de douche zijn en mogelijkheden om de eigenaar vragen te stellen.
