On our own property, surrounded by a beautiful garden is a self-contained recreation house in the middle of the polder with wide views . When we moved here a few years ago, we immediately fell in love with the place and decided to convert the shed into a Tiny House. Now we are ready to share it with others. The house has a kitchen (electric cooking), fridge/freezer, microwave/oven. Double bed on 1st floor (not suitable for disabled) 2p sofa bed on ground floor. Shower and toilet in a separate room. Free use of kitchen-bath-bed linen. Temperature controlled by air conditioning. Bar table overlooking the polder. Sustainable energy supply through solar panels. Covered terrace where you sit sheltered and heated. Good wifi. GERUIK TWO ELECTRIC BIKES INCLUDED. BBQ to be used on request. Close to Bergambacht, Schoonhoven and Gouda. Between Utrecht and Rotterdam. Great spot for birdwatchers. Max 1 P.place. Smoking prohibited.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is at the bottom of the dike on a so-called wheel (lake created by a dike breach). Discover the Krimpenerwaard in a unique way! The Krimpenerwaard is an area enclosed by the Hollandse IJssel, the Lek and the Vlist. 'Krimp' means river bend, and a 'waard' is a piece of land completely surrounded by rivers. This polder is part of the Green Heart. Characterized by the typical strip pattern of narrow meadows - with pollard willows along ditches at high water. And with grazing cows, of course. A unique Dutch landscape. Did you know that the world-famous Gouda cheese is made in Krimpenerwaard? Many opportunities for cycling, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, fishing (pike perch) or bird watching (including buzzard, woodpecker, harrier). Culture can be sniffed in the cities around. Gouda and Utrecht can be reached by bus. Rotterdam and Dordrecht are accessible by (water) bus. Kinderdijk by bike. We gladly inform you about more possibilities.
