This nature house is located in a former cowshed on the First floor.Relax in your own hot tub, infrared sauna or under the rain shower. Bed linen and towels are provided. With a nice cup of coffee or good tea (provided), you start the next day well. There is a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave oven and beautiful crockery, cutlery from Iittala. The lodge consists of one room and has no lockable rooms. Upon arrival there is a delicious bottle of wine waiting for you. Would you like to start the day with a nice breakfast, you can! We offer a Heerman breakfast box (vegetarian option), sufficient for 2 mornings /2 adults with tasty products from the region. Fresh bread we hang every morning in a bread bag at the door. On the Sunday nice later check out ( 18.00), make use of a Lazy Sunday, you book this on the spot. Due to allergies, pets are not allowed. In the farm there are 3 lodges.

The nature house is located between meadows and forests in the Twente countryside. Here you experience the quiet and farm life of allerday and for a few days you are part of the hamlet "de Mekkelhorst". The whole area is part of "National Landscape North-East Twente". Bordering the neighboring country of Germany you are in no time in the spa town of Bad Bentheim, Nordhorn or Gildehaus. Within walking distance is the nature reserve 't Lutterzand with sand drifts, heath and pine forests. Plenty of choice for a nice walk or paddling in the small river Dinkel, afterwards enjoy yourself at buitenplaats Florilympha or on the terrace of 't Paviljoen. At 500 meters from the lodges is the Twente path, the long distance path for the active hiker. In the unique tree park Arboreteum Poortbulten there are various primeval trees from all over the world. Between Denekamp and Oldenzaal are the four mountains Hakenberg, Tankenberg, Paasberg and Austiberg, a walking and cycling area par excellence.
