Our group accommodation has a fantastic location with distant views over the Geul valley and 30 km away the peaks of the Ardennes. One of the most beautiful locations in the Netherlands. Room for 18-40 people and possibly expandable with another 10 people in the adjacent half-timbered house Huize ten Bosch. Also additional camping is sometimes possible if the group is even larger. The accommodation is an old half-timbered farmhouse, which during its restoration still retains its characteristic half-timbered structure and stone walls, both inside and outside. There are two terraces, one covered where you can bbq and one in the garden to have breakfast with the whole group in the shade of a large ash tree. The kitchen is fully equipped: oven and 2 dishwashers, 8 burners, dishes, pans and glassware. There are 2 bathrooms that together contain 4 showers , 4 toilets and 6 sinks.
Nature and surroundings
The half-timbered group accommodation is located in the Geul Valley in the outermost part of South Limburg in the hamlet of Cottessen right next to Belgium. A for the Netherlands unprecedented biodiversity with species such as the grouse plover, badgers, yellow-bellied toad, hazel mouse etc. Regularly the buzzards hover above your head. The large Vijlenerbos, 150m away extends beyond the Drielandenpunt. The accommodation is located on a quiet unpaved country road with hardly any traffic, so quiet and safe. The spring village of Epen is 2.5 km away and mountain village Vijlen 4 km away. The border with Belgium less than 1 km . Aachen at 12 km, Vaals at 8 km, Maastricht at 25 km. Valkenburg at 18 km. Ideal cycling and walking environment.

Patrick November 25, 2022 General rating:Het huisje was ruim opgezet, een grote living waar we met ons gezelschap van 22 mannen ruim konden zitten (had ok met meer gekund). De bedden waren eenvoudig maar voldoende. De keuken was zeer goed geoutilleerd. Wifi was goed, hetgeen handig was om voetbal te kijken dit weekend. Contact met de eigenaar verliep goed en gemoedelijk.
Nature, peace & environment:Het huisje is net zo mooi als de beschrijving doet vermoeden. Met name het ontwaken op zaterdagochtend bij de zonmsopkomst over velden en heuvels van Wallonië in de verte was adembenemend. Er is uitgebreide wandel- en fietsgelegenheid in de omgeving. Veel 'natuur'lijker dan dit wordt het niet. Ik hoop hier in de toekomst zeker nog eens terug te komen.
