The cottage is located on our 21-hectare estate. It was converted into an authentic Portuguese cottage in 2021. At the front and at the back a lovely terrace with shade cloths and views over the estate. The cottage is modern with authentic Portuguese details We love cooking, so there is an open (well equipped) kitchen in the house and on the terrace an outdoor kitchen. The living room is furnished with a wood stove, (bed) sofa and art. From the large bedroom with double bed you walk straight into the colorful bathroom with rain shower. On the estate is also our (almost renovated) farmhouse (ready in Sept with vegetable garden, fruit and olive trees. If you want a fresh dip, you can do so in the water tank converted into a swimming pool. Our cottage on the vast estate gives you space. Experience the silence, the view over the estate, the beautiful skies during "golden hour" and before you go to sleep enjoy the insane starry sky.
Nature and surroundings
If you want to experience the real Alentejo, this area is the place to be. The Flor do Brejo estate is located on the border of the Vicentina National Park. You will find the most beautiful beaches with high cliffs and views of the ocean. A 20-minute drive away you will find the rugged beaches where you can surf, laze but also look for mussels. Want to really experience the region? There is a great route network developed there, Rota Vicentina with the famous Fisherman's Trail, the historic trails inland and cycling and mountain biking routes. One of the routes even crosses our estate. From the estate you can see in the hinterland the 1000 meter high mountain Monchique. The towns of Zambujeira do Mar, Odeceixe and Odemira can all be reached in 20 minutes. Sao Teotonio is 5 km away, here you will find all the amenities you need for your daily life.
