The cottage is tastefully decorated with authentic Hindelopen antiques, equipped with heating and wonderful beds. There are two bedrooms; one with double bed and one with two single beds. For children there is a gazebo with bunk beds. There is a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. In the living area you will find a sitting and dining area; Open kitchen with dishwasher. French doors give access to the covered terrace and garden. From the garden you step onto the private jetty. If you do not have your own boat, you can rent open sailboats at la Barca. It will be ready when you arrive. For a larger boat you can go to Wadden in sight. The jetty is also a wonderful place to sunbathe, swim or cast a fishing line. Your car can be parked right by the cottage and trailerable boats can be launched. You can use a small rowing boat and the two canoes that come with the house. Safety equipment is your responsibility.

It is located in the Lauwersmeer National Park in northeastern Friesland. Water sports enthusiasts, nature lovers and cyclists will enjoy seeing so much natural beauty. Around the nature reserve are nice villages and towns, such as Moddergat, Lauwersoog, Zoutkamp and Dokkum. The beautiful surroundings form a stunning backdrop during a hiking or biking trip. Recommended is a day trip to Schiermonnikoog, the ferry departs nearby. Ostmahorn was an old fortified town on the lauwerszee. What is now the marina was once built as a working harbor for the construction of the dike that made the lauwerszee the lauwersmeer. Oostmahorn is 9 km from dokkum, near Anjum and Lauwersoog. In Anjum there is an excellent supermarket and an award-winning butcher. In Lauwersoog there is Jan and Barbera's fish restaurant; a good place for gourmands and inquisitive children.
