The nature house is located in Terjat ( Auvergne ), in the yard of the former presbytery. Because in former times the presbytery played an important role in village life it was allowed to have a Pigeonnier. ( Pigeonnier ) Keeping pigeons was reserved for persons of status and purely for consumption. Meanwhile, the pigeon tower has been transformed into a charming and romantic guesthouse for 2 people with a real heavenly room under the beautiful wooden roof construction. All facilities are available, toilet, shower, sink, kitchen, refrigerator and sitting area. Ideal for people passing through or for those who want to use the day to explore the area. The Pigeonnier also offers the use of the campsite facilities such as the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna and free WIFI. All the amenities for a wonderfully relaxing and romantic stay are available.
Nature and surroundings
The campsite is located at an altitude of about 550 meters, in the village of Terjat on the edge of the Massif Central. An ideal place for those seeking peace and nature, or who love hiking and cycling. In the immediate vicinity are typical French villages and towns. Just a few kilometers away are the towns of Marcillat and Neris les Bains. Here you will find all basic services such as supermarket, bakery, tourist office as well as any medical care for humans or animals. Larger beautiful old French cities such as Montlucon, Commentry and Pionsat with their sights are only 16 km away. Further south lies Clermont Ferrand, capital of the Puy de Dome department with its mountainous area and the remains of long extinct volcanoes. Vichy, Neris les Bains and Évaux-les-Bains in the immediate vicinity are known for their spas. A visit to the many brocante markets in the area should definitely be on the to-do list.
