Vacation in a typical Frisian place Sunny apartment on the Sneekermeer with attractive garden on the southwest. Ideal for the sporty peace seeker. Ground floor with private entrance and parking. Living room with garden view and oblique view of the Sneekermeer. Half open sleeping area with double bed (180x200). Half open kitchen with gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and Senseo. Bathroom with shower and toilet, bedroom with closets and sofa bed(160x200). Terrace and side path to store bikes(there is 1 shopping bike). Wifi, Chromecast, games and a small library. And a whole box full of recreation tips and cycling and walking maps.Our apartment is in one of the 6 characteristic white pyramid houses that can be seen from far away from the Sneekermeer. They were completely renovated in 2020. It is a small-scale accommodation. From the garden you walk in 20 meters to a shell path at the lake.
Nature and surroundings
In the middle of nature with the city nearby Pand is located in the nature reserve De Potten. This borders Natura2000 area with many birds and plenty of water sports, hiking and cycling opportunities. Electric bikes can be rented on the nearby campsite where there are also many other facilities. The center of Sneek with its cozy characteristic canals and historic buildings is 5 kilometers, Leeuwarden is half an hour away. Both can also be reached by boat. Within walking distance are 3 restaurants on small harbors, a natural swimming pool with beach, boat rental, water skiing, supping, sailing school. At 1 minute walk a ferry goes to the so-called 'Starteiland' to watch sailing races while enjoying a snack and drink. From the apartment you walk in 1 minute to the Beach Club with a beach-lounge-terrace on the water. In short, a wonderful place to be active during the day and relax in the evening with the real Friesland feeling.
