This 85m2 4 person apartment is located at the front of the farmhouses overlooks the historic monastery garden. The rooms are dominated by the colors of flower still lifes . The atmosphere here is harmony and tranquility. Inside, you feel the closeness of the garden without even looking out the window. This apartment is located in the oldest part of the farmhouse and consists of 2 levels connected by a staircase. The ground floor with its old beams provides a special experience of the construction of the farm. Here you will find the fully equipped kitchen, dining / work table, lounge area, TV and bathroom with toilet with the possibility of additional sleeping space. In the two upstairs bedrooms you sleep under the wooden insulated roof. Each room is equipped with a comfortable Swiss-Sense box spring and has its own bathroom with toilet. Outside you have a private terrace with seating.
Nature and surroundings
This nature house belonged to the then Norbertinessen monastery founded in 1242. The present farmhouse was built in 1767. The monument has historic rooms that are tiled beautiful Harlingen tiles and several tableaus that I would love to show you. The farm is located on the border of the open clay area of the Hogeland and northeastern Friesland, the lauwersmeer area. It is surrounded by the sheltered scenery of the Northern Frisian Walden and still breathes the atmosphere that the Frisian painter Ids Wiersma (Monet of the North) managed to capture in a unique way. Between the meadows you will see authentic thatched farmhouses and long avenues of oak trees which, together with hedges, canals, hedgerows and pingoes, form an ideal backdrop for a walk, bike ride or tour. Let yourself be taken to the various possibilities such as the Spitkeet,the Leijen, and the Kruidhof,Groningen,Leeuwarden,Dokkum can be reached in half an hour for a wonderful day of shopping or culture sniffing.
