Welcome. Are you looking for a beautiful place where you will experience a lot of peace, lying on the Golden ham? A wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the nature of the beautiful land of Maas and Waal. Walking, cycling, canoeing, supping, renting a boat, it's all possible here. A bicycle ferry takes you to a nature walking area, a beautiful place. Home by Soof, which is Scandinavian furnished, has much to offer, and is fully equipped. A sitting area, a cozy kitchenette with a refrigerator, a bedroom with a lovely double bed and a cozy bathroom with shower and toilet. Also, each cottage has a private terrace overlooking our flower garden, where the lights of the pergola light up at night. You can also use our living room, where you can spin old records, play games, cook together ect. Cosy eateries are within walking distance and breakfast can be booked separately for €15,- p.p.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in Maasbommel, the smallest Hanseatic town in the Netherlands. Located between the rivers Maas and Waal, called Maas and Waal. Our beautiful place is located on the versatile water recreation area De Gouden ham, where you can rent a canoe, a whisper boat or take a refreshing dip in the morning, for example. You just have to cross the dike.... There are also several hiking/biking trails nearby, including the Moringerwaarden nature reserve. Thuis bij Soof is less than half an hour's drive from 's-Hertogenbosch, Nijmegen and Arnhem, should you feel like a nice city trip. Taking the bikes with you or renting them is highly recommended, then you can cycle over the dikes to the Gardens of Appeltern (ask for the package), the brewery in Ooijen, the authentic town of Ravenstein or enjoy lunch at the Theetuin in Appeltern.
