This nature house was certainly from 1663 a self-sufficient Brabant farm, where for centuries our family kept cows, horses, pigs, sheep and chickens and grew beautiful products on the land. The farm consists of our home, a grain barn, a cart shovel, a sheepfold and a woodshed. In 2009 we have lovingly and carefully restored this national heritage to the beautiful place where we live today. Although we no longer focus on animal husbandry or agriculture, we keep the farm life alive. For example, we still have cows, which enjoy grazing in our pasture around the farm as much as possible. We also grow various types of wheat on our land, among other things, which go to local brewers and millers after the harvest around September. The millers use old-fashioned windmills to make flour from our wheat, which is used by bakers in the surrounding area for delicious bread.

This nature house is located in the outskirts of Moergestel, the green pearl of Brabant and the center of the Benelux. On the accompanying agricultural plot of 10 hectares you can take a lovely walk among the field flowers. Surrounded by farmlands, forests and fens, Den Heijkant offers comfort, tranquility and space above all. However, centrally located between Eindhoven, Breda, 's-Hertogenbosch and Tilburg, Den Heijkant is an ideal base for a city trip, but also parks such as the Efteling and Safaripark Beekse Bergen are just around the corner. Visit from our Dutch only Trappist beer brewery La Trappe or nature reserves such as the Kampina and the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen. Den Heijkant is also ideally located on various walking and cycling routes. There are also many restaurants in the area with different cuisines, but of course you can enjoy an excellent breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake and drinks during your stay with us.
