Beautiful, characteristic and cozy cottage of about 100 years old. The cozy living room has a large window overlooking the fields, birds, and in the distance the lighthouse of Ameland. There are some board games, binoculars, and books. Note: no TV channels, but there is a beamer (with screen!) for e.g. Netflix home theater. The kitchen has a dining table, gas stove , a microwave oven, refrigerator with freezer and a dishwasher. On the ground floor there is also a bedroom with a double bed. In a separate room there is a toilet, shower, washing machine and dryer. Beware, the stairs upstairs are a bit steep. On the second floor is a play attic with a bedroom on either side. On one side is "the storm room," so called because you can hear the wind blowing there for 100 years when it's been blowing hard, with a double bed. The bedroom on the other side has a double bed. All in all, a wonderful base to enjoy Ameland!

Free and quiet location on a quiet street on the mudflat side of Ameland. Wide view of meadows and beautiful skies. Many and various birds to see. Wad (few hundred meters), beach and dunes (about 3 km) and forest (about 3 km) nearby. Stores and supermarket in Ballum are fifteen minutes by bike.
