Our cottage is located on the estate Weerdesteijn-Kleidijk. The estate of 8 ha. is a beautiful wild piece of nature in the Kromme Rijnstreek. Besides forest you will find a small orchard with sheep and a food forest under construction. The house is about 160m2 and offers a spacious living room and large kitchen with all amenities. On the upper floor 3 bedrooms (1 bunk bed) and 1 bathroom with separate toilet. On the ground floor you will also find a toilet and a room with washer and dryer and the possibility to put bicycles. There is no central heating, the house is heated with infrared panels, a wood stove and electric radiators in the bedrooms. For children there are toys available. The house is located on a dead-end narrow road. From the living room you look out on a meadow with cows and from the terrace you look out on the orchard and forest. In the garden you will find some nice seats and for the children there are swings, a sandbox and a trampoline.
Nature and surroundings
The vacation home is located in Langbroek near the cozy village of Cothen. There are many castles in this area (also within walking distance). Nearby larger place is Wijk bij Duurstede with a cozy center and several museums and restaurants. Near Langbroek you will find several nice farm stores and it is beautiful cycling in the Kromme Rijnstreek. The area is also known for its fruit cultivation. You can pick pears or cherries at several places in season.
